The AntiMicroX project is one of the few cross-platform remapping tools available. The program is ad free, has source code readily available, and works well. However, it only supports mapping detected controllers to keyboard and mouse events and has no support for saving remapped profiles, output devices, or remapping as another controller layout. The old AntiMicro project still has a page at https://antimicro.net but has no usable download links, leading to a certain amount of user confusion.
